The emptiness of the feeling
not another body close by
she covers up and imagines
a cold body lying next to her
on these stale sheets

Her eyes sunk deeply
with a smile on her face
dreaming of his body reappearing
and his feet on top of hers

Warm flesh, she feels
around for the body
but sees the imprint of his pose
on the mattress and listens
as she can hear the whispering
sounds of the shower
