You Were Wrong

Ever gotten that sharp pain,
From hearing something you don’t want to hear?
Ever sat outside in the pouring rain,
Just to realize it’s the only thing you no longer fear?

When you’re holding back that blade,
Discriminating yourself,
Streaming memories fade,
And you remember the many pills on the shelf . . .

Nothing matters anymore,
Not since you found out,
There’s nothing worse then being thought of as a whore,
But that’s all his friendship was about.

He never even thought about you,
‘Cause all the other girls had looks,
But he only likes what you do,
And that’s all it took.

Maybe he’ll realize that he’s made a mistake,
When he suddenly realizes it’s all too late,
And when you think his words were real they suddenly seem so fake,
But it’s all his fault because he made this your fate.

Now there’s nothing anyone can do,
As they sit and watch you slowly die,
Even though he can’t believe its tru,
Your last words beg, “please don’t cry.”
