You and I had truths to tell
Sending my heart to a deep fiery hell

With each word the floodgates were raised
Emotions lashed out wild and crazed

The truths that were told caused much pain and sorrow
Making me not want to live ‘til tomorrow

I wanted to hold you to hug you so tight
To lay with you as I had every night

Now as I sit here all alone today
I sit here and cry and hope and pray

I want you back more than you know
Hour by hour the tears continuously flow

I would take you back without a thought
Forget about every time we have fought

I would hold you and love you as I have in the past
Hoping that this time it would forever last
