Stand Alone

I Stand Alone
Where the winds of havoc roar
And there is always the threat of war
Still I Stand Alone
On the infinite plain
Where there is no rain
To wash away the pain
So I Stand Alone
Upon my given day
Who can really say
I Will Stand Alone

I Stood Alone
For the ages uncounted
Waiting for someone to stay
Still I Stood Alone
I saw the darkness come
I felt the light fall like rain
And I came to understand the gray
Still I Stood Alone
When the days had come and gone
And the singers had sung their songs
Still I Stood Alone

I Stand Alone
With worlds passing me by
Who really knows
Maybe I’ll take a ride
Still I Stand Alone
All the great causes have ended
Though there were none to begin with
I have no reason to try
So I Stand Alone
And cry
