Hard and Fast
He's on top
and pounding her chest
What feels like a dream
soon fades away

Anger
Slow and uncompromising
She's at the bottom
and hurting herself
What once was a moment
now feels eternal

Pain
Deep and unyielding
She hurts when she moves
and hurts when she looks
What once was a life
now is shattered and tired..

Letting Go
Hard and uncertain
She wants to run
and has to stay
What was once too much
now is only bearable

Living past the pain
Slow and uncompromising
She lives her life
and does her best
What happened is over
now she is changed
