I dream of you
So many dreams of you

Of us together
You holding me tight
Of everything the way it should be
Night after night

But oh how swiftly the morning dawns
Awakening harsh reality
A reality void of you
A reality of a lifetime
To be spent with out you
By my side.

It was never meant to be like this
never meant to end this way
My dreams send visions of
Life the way it should be
The way it would be
If only
If only
But alas…

I dream of you
So many dreams of you
Never wanting to wake

And one day I shall stay
Sleeping beside you
Safe within my dreams
Never to wake
To this harsh reality
