Silence forever stands, her faithful guard

Sitting on the roof waiting for one last sunrise
She looks in the mirror trying to cloak the lies
Beginning to show in her eyes

She tries to hide the tears of regret
Framing her silhouette
Wishing she could only forget

The haunting memories of times long past
Her lifeless crater left by the blast
That just seems to last

Forever in a day,
She lost her will to play
And tried to portray, okay

But living in lies
Makes it hard to disguise
The suppressed cries in her eyes

So sitting atop the rise
She implies
Her good-byes

Laying down her life to its fate
She sits to wait
Watching the sunrise recreate

One hand held a mirror
As dawn became clearer
And death drew nearer

The other hand shredded to bits
The mirror smashed with fits
Of violent hits

With pieces of glass stuck within
The tortured skin
Reveling untold sin

Picking up the deadly shard
Bearing deep within the scarred
Silence forever stands, her faithful guard
