you aren't here

i cry out
but you're not here
my cry echoes across the room
i'm all alone
the walls enclose me
in my own insanity
my vision's blurry
my mind, blocked

and how can it be
that you're so far away
when we're so close?
how can i feel
that you're gone
when you're still with me?
how can i stand
without my base
do you expect me to fake
expect me to lie
when everything's so wrong
can you ever make it right?

i talk to myself
to keep company
i make myself cry
to feel something
i touch myself there
to feel the magic
the magic we once had
before everything changed

and how can it be
that you're so far away
when we're so close?
how can i feel
that you're gone
when you're still with me?
how can i stand
without my base
do you expect me to fake
expect me to lie
when everything's so wrong
can you ever make it right?
