Heartborn Tragedy

It flows through you
right through you
like the very life in your veins
such a tragedy
to live like this, it is
such a shame to watch
watch this world crumble
as it often does
biting, clawing, scrating
coming at you
full on speed
caught in the head lights
crossing the tracks
head on with the train
the moment frozen
fear? anger? hate?
what does it all mean?
stars so numerous
scattered in the darkness
reminiscent of my mind
but the lights, so bright
soon become dull, and bleed
forming tears
crimson, a liquid fire
pulsing rythems that are always there
always there to remind me of you
let's asses the damage inflicted
shattered, torn..
busted, broken..
lost..
and so its said
to course through your veins
to hold your heart in place
and to breathe again...
breathe you in
breathe me out
watch you melt...
and as you trickle back
back into my veins
and to think, its you
keeping me living
coursing through my body
such a tragedy it is
