Vampire Eyes

the air was damp
and the fog was thick
and my eyes were the only that could see
cutting though the dark night
senses tingling
together and over again
every nerve being reborn
into a new form of me
this last night had been lost
as i stumbled drowsily down the path
the moon light cloaked in trees
and my head held paralle to the earth
i cast my eyes forward
seeking through the wind
what brouth me to this helpless state?
what made the power grow inside of me?
the night has taken me
or rather a creature of which i speak
i have been chosen
made me think i am something more
but what purpose does this serve
not yet one of them
i waited to say my good byes to the light
knowing the next time i was to gaze at the moon
that it would not be with eyes of my own
but with that which are more sinister
and wiser amoung my years
eternal youth sealed
and i; now the hunter
seeking my prey
to cure this dark loneliness
