its the rush of a thought
that allows me to create
its the sting of a memory
that allows me to heal
its the aching of a heart
and the breaking of the mind
that allows me to feel
but to feel what?
angst...
that one is all too famliar
the feeling of numbness
one or two emotions prevailing
differing like day and night
dark on one side
and a white light on the other
its like the complex of a gaurdian
an angel on one shoulder
and the devil on the other
but which to trust
the one asking you to bleed
or the one pleading you to pray
a constant battle with yourself
to be who you really are
or what they want to see
appease the public
or appease yourself
how long before you will be happy
and not shrouded in black
when can we live in the twilight?
when our feelings are a lighter hue
but for now:
we shall beg for our forgiveness
nor from a being so devine;
but from the being who lives within
