I thought that I knew you
I thought I could trust you
I thought that you saw me
I thought that you felt me
I guess I thought wrong

You said you were my friend
Said you wouldnt betray me
But you've said alot of things
told alot of lies
and still I trusted you

I thought you understood me
I thought that you cared for me
I thought my heart was safe with you
I thought that I was good to you
I guess I thought wrong

You say that you still care
You tell me that youre sorry
but I hear the things you say
when Im not there
and still I love you

I thought I could hate you
I thought I could be mad at you
I thought you were no good for me
I thought you didnt care you hurt me

So I'm saying give me time
let me cry here for awhile
but dont try to comfort me
I need room to think
and then I can forgive you

I thought alot of things
and I guess that I thought wrong
