You Still Have Time

When you want everyone to leave you alone
Where they will go away
Is when you need your friends
Every second of every day

And every single day
You kneel infront of your bed
And pray
Hoping that today,
That everything will be okay

That today will be hassle free
That parents won't yell at you
Just let you be

You feel like they don't trust you
When you tell the truth
And everything you say is true

They don't believe you
Or what you say
Thinking that you lie all the time
All day

Why don't they trust you?
Is what you want to know
To not trust your child
Is extremely low.

It's so stupid that they won't
Or don't
Or can't
Or will not
To no trust
Hurts a whole lot

It puts so much pain
On an innocent heart
And it's sad that you enjoy life
When you and they are apart

And on top of no trust
They never talk only yell and scream
Telling you, you have to face life now
It's no longer a dream

It's so hard to even put a smile on
An if it appears
It quickly fades and is gone

So even if you do smile,
And pray and hope it'll last for a while,
It won't,
It'll just disappear
like a still-wet painted picture,
It'll wash away, and smear

Yea, this is what my life has come to
But it's not to late for you
So do me a favor
Before it's too late
You still have time
To change your fate
