Little black candle shining in the night,
The dim glow shadowed by their fright,
Scared of being trapped by all of time,
Can’t see the door with eyes so blind.

Burning away with soulless souls,
Couldn’t see the twinkle beyond their holes,
Forever more they shall be blind,
Little black candle they’ll never find.

Smouldering pool now all that’s left,
Tiny flicker burnt out by death,
No more white door waiting ajar,
Hollow black souls shadow every star.
