Fallen angle, rise again.

Each time I speak vengeance
I also speak sorrow.
The pain I feel today
is the pain you will feel tomorrow.
The leaves in the trees
flutter in the autumn wind.
The rest are gone
I am the last of my kin.
When the last leaf falls
I too will fade.
No matter how I try
I cannot outlast the pain.
My time will soon come
for summer is diminishing.
No prayer will spare me
nor will any offering.
My soul is bleeding
there are tears on my face.
My spirit is broken
and so ends my days.
The rain falls softly
but does not wash away my pain.
The poison is inside
where my wounds remain.
Icy winds blow
and the snow will soon fall.
I shall not last much longer
for I will fade when winter calls.
When the last leaf falls
I too will belong to the ground.
Then my soul will leave my body
to where hope can be found.
