Awkwardly awaken,
sweat dripping down my spine,
pictures of your dying face,
won't seem to leave my mind.

My lip it starts to quiver,
my body aches with fear,
crying bitter oceans,
with my deadly silent tears.

Blood and screams of children,
death is all around,
heavy haze in midnight skies,
bodies on the ground.

Unreal reality,
Of death and fear and hate,
Waking in a pool of tears,
My life disintegrates.
