LIKE A DRUG

The first time wasnt a big deal
Pain came not to late afterward
As the skin turned pink
and the blood ran over
Wincing slightly thinking,
'This isnt so bad'
Cleaned it up and hid it well
Not to be seen by the wondering eyes
The second time was a want
For sweet releasal and to take away the pain
Slightly remembering
As the skin turned pink
That this would be the last time
Didnt know then
That it was only the beginning
Of skinny scars and long sleeved shirts
It takes over like a drug
The body wants more
And it'll get more
Though every time is the last time
Everything will be repeated soon enough...
And scars are the only thing left
