Why cant people just sit on a rock and look at the trees,
Instead they need big cars and things like these,
One tree sits alone for years and watches,
It watches the birds sing to one another,
A tree sits and watches a boy become a brother,
I watches as hearts are broken,
Sedding silent tears but not a word spoken,
Many times a tree watches over you while you cry,
You think thats wind you hear,
Its the trees sigh,
They are like gardian Angels watching over people,
And seeing how we don't treat everyone as an equal,
People are to intrested in the money,
They dont see the true green that sees them,
A tree can see when an 18 year old steps out to freedom,
It watches our soldiers leave and never come home,
Still the tree stands tall and beautiful,
Knowing after love takes its tole on a heart its not reuseable,
One hundred year old trees can understand,
How to make and break a man,
If you need a place to stand,
Go under the loving arms of a tree,
Why cant people just sit on a rock and look at the trees,
And realize there may never again be days like these,
When a tree happily watches someone win the lottery,
It says goodbye to all the other trees standing pretty,
Because soon that rich man will clear a golf course,
Killing our natural resourse,
One tree tall and strong,
Will be a sholder to cry on your whole life long,
Soo look at a tree and sit on a rock,
Remember just because they cant speak back doesnt mean you can't talk.
