For those of you who pray
I’m begging you today
She’s dying all alone
A fear she’s never known
With a heart that’s turned to stone
True love she’s never known
Waiting for her Romeo
Slipping away with everyday
She’s grown old all alone
For once in younger years
Love brought her to tears
Living all along with a broken heart
She soon is to depart
The old man down the road
Has loved her for so long
He never told her how he felt
And with this pain he has dealt
But now her time is near
And he is starting to fear
This love he’s held within
Is showing in his grin
As he takes her hand
And kisses her softly
She tells him of her love for him
That she’s held in for so long
So many wasted years
So many un needed tears
Don’t save for tomorrow
What can be done today
If only they had taken a chance
They would have been able
To have a their first dance
And as she breathed her last breath
They wished they had just one more day
