My Heart's Cure

Like a sword,
It strikes me swiftly.
Cut’s me down,
On it’s killing spree.
Confusion sets in.
Now, I’m lost.
Tell me where to go,
And what it will cost.
No price is too high.
I’ll pay it gladly.
But you leave me,
Leave me sadly.
I ask you,
“Does it have to be like this?”
But then you drop me
Into the cold abyss.
I want you back!
You’re so near.
You don’t want me,
That’s my great fear…
I can’t live without you,
That is for sure.
So I’ll just have to wait,
‘Til I find my heart’s cure.
That’s when I’ll find you,
Alone and in need.
You’ll be hurt,
And your wounds ill mend.
You’ll come back to me,
And we’ll live in peace.
Just you and I,
For us, the world will cease.
I can’t wait
For us to be together.
Finally in unison,
Together forever.
But you are rich!
And I am poor…
So until then,
I’ll search for my heart’s cure.
