Accept Myself

Things always seemed so easy
Back in the good ol' days
When all I worried about
Was what we were going to play
Things always seemed so perfect
Back when I learned my ABC's
And it seemed pretty difficult
Learning my 123's
But these days
Peer pressure blocks all my happiness
Thinking it's all too true
That being a teen is full of sadness
And there's nothing to make us feel different
When stereotypes fill our life
Beautiful women in magazines
And some resort to a knife
And all I feel is the pain
Driving me insane
There's nothing I can do but pray
That I'll except myself one day
