A Withered Rose

Your words
Your touch
Your look
Your feel
It felt so true
But I guess it wasn*t real
Who I thought you were
Was just a disguise
Covering up
All you*re games and lies

Empty feelings
Lost your soul
Heart of black
And eyes so cold
Love has faded
Like a withered rose
I was so blind back then
I guess I should have known

You gave me hope
You knew it wouldn*t last
It may have started quick
But it finished just as fast
If only I could
Return to the past
Back, to when I
Gave you my heart
So I could take it back

Did some things
I thought you*d never do
But I guess the real you
I never really knew
Took away my heart, my breath
And all you did was use
Leaving me hurt inside
So lonely and confused
