The water speaks

Water, water, all around
Ophelia's madness was quite profound
Her long flowing hair
Her aimless eyes
An attempt at sanity, most definitely disguise

Knee deep
Ophelia sleeps
In the endlessly clear stream
Her eyes never close
And no one quite knows
What caused her silent death that day

Willow trees
And flower seeds
Grow along the divide
Sinking under
A world all in blunder
A place where she could hide

And although she died
In the stream where she lie
Her voice can be heard all around
Singing odd lullabies
And reciting her rhymes
Ophelia haunts those who'd wronged

Knee deep
Ophelia sleeps
Off in her own little world
The scenes she'd curled
Into memories unfurled
Forever to be silenced
