colorful and careless, your star illuminates his night
(you were always an adventurer)
winshield wipers thumping against your skull
(shrewd incisions penetrate his soul)
crash, the collison., darkness lies in wait
(limply he fell.)
"how unfortunate, it was all so fast, he really loved her you know, I
suppose he'll never be the same"
(nightmares in vain.)
your life slips through his fingers, your final breath evaporating as
daylight sweeps the horizon
your star is fading, dearie, and youll not return
far too gone from home, and the unknown is growing closer to reality
yet you cling with defiance in the pits that were your eyes
(you sliced off your wedding finger in one last bitter attempt)
following closely behind the present, all of you that's left aches to
soothe the constant burning in his broken mind
(happiness in ashes)
grace given and willingly received
exhiliration
your prescense becomes a burden
