I knew,
Walking in the dark,
I knew,
As I turned the corner and all I’d see is blackness,
No satisfaction,
No guarantee.
I knew that my life was over,
When I’d wake,
And all I’d see is my dark fate.
Sooner or later I new I’d be gone,
Seconds not minutes,
I’d be layed in the ground.
But before I turned to fall right in,
The hole that layed perfectly to fit my skin,
A hand touched my face,
I turned and was amazed,
That second,
That splinter of time,
He grazed my back,
And moved me towards his eyes.

I could see him,
His heart so new,
So free,
So close to reach,
And he took me,
Refused me to fall…….(5 beats)

I knew,
At that place,
With his hands touching my face,
He saved my life before I knew
Who he even was,
He made me stop just in time,
Before I was gone……(5 beats)

I know if it wasn’t for you,
I’d be
Lying in that carved out hole, in the dirt ,
So perfectly framed for me,
But you rescued me.

The miles and miles of fears I have,
The lists of pains that I have had,
You travel on,
Too keep me free.

You don’t leave,
You don’t fall,
You let my mind know it can take a breath,
And let me be,
You take me in so desprately,
And save me ,
From my death.
A death that would list R, I, P,
Rest in Peace,
But I don’t have to rest ,
And I don’t have to see,
Because I know
what I have
Is now all I will ever need,
