The real thing

I lay in my bed,
And close my eyes.
Thoughts of you
Remain in my mind.

It seems like lately,
It's getting harder for me,
To concentrate on things.
Harder for me to think.

Everyone says we're too young:
It'll never last,
We don't know what love is,
We should wait until we're older.

But please tell me why,
I think about you night and day.
Hearing your name brings a smile to my face.
Hearing your voice makes my heart skip a beat.

No this isn't puppy love.
No matter what they say.
This is the real thing.
My love for you is true.
