God, I know I ask too much of you,
I know that I've been selfish;
But today I ask you for a blessing
Please, grant me this wish:
My Gram, she has a fierce determination
But these days are growing longer.
God, please grant her peace of mind
And most of all, please make her stronger.
And when you see her begin to falter,
Please be there to grace her heart.
God, when you think she may be leaving,
Please don't rip us apart.
There is so much love around her;
Please grant us all more time.
She was the light on our dark days;
We can't lose our Sunshine.
God, please if you are listening
Just grant me this true:
Give my Gram the strength to be strong
And I'll be good for You.
