When the Towers came down, they were there
They were our heroes on that horrific day
To give help, to save lives, which is so rare
For them, there are no right words to say
So many were lost
That were near and dear in our hearts
But they payed the ultimate cost
There was so much danger, but they still did their parts
They ran into the darkness of doom
Without even the blink of an eye
Through the fire, dust, and gloom
They ran, knowing they'd probably die
They were our heroes and patriots on that day
And they have our eternal appreciation and care
For them, there are no right words to say
All we can say is, thankyou eternally, for being there
Author's note: This is to the firefighters and cops of NY, and anyone
else who risked their lives on 9/11 to save others. You were and are heroes.
Thankyou so much for what you did on that day. We can never thankyou enough.
You'll never be forgotten.
