Gingerbreadmen

Such a sad place it is
Sad now that they all ran
Ran like gingerbread men form this place
Not long ago on the curb they sat
Sat for days smiling in the sun of innocence and youth
The years past
And years when they pass they change you
Change everything
Until the fox of ambition came
It chased them away
And they all ran
Like the ginger bread men that they were
and all the pan cake maker could do was mourn her lose
Such a sad place it is
Somehow like running the gingerbread the memories flooded this place
And into the river they ran
desolved in its waters laughing still
as the sun sets and the moon of after life rises
I remeber when we use to run
running like those gingerbread men
into the forrest
unto the dawn
onward in the night
away form the fox of our ambitions
untill we reached the river of our remeberince
were we knew we could not cross
so we drown there dessolve like gingerbread men
