A Daisy In Winter

Daisies in the dead of winter
Are just that:
Dead.
Frozen solid,
Covered in ice and snow.
They remind me of you.
Stuck in a crowd
Full of calloused people,
You wandered aimlessly
And were eventually
Brought to their ways.
How did it happen?
You should've held strong,
Kept searching for the sunlight.
You should've held strong,
Waiting for spring to return
When love and warmth
Would surround you once more.
