Closed Door Version #2

They left me here forever,
Trapped behind this door.
"Never to be opened,"
So the legends swore.
I kicked and screamed,
I scratched and cursed,
To make my slow way through.
And finally when it opened,
What I found was you.

You took my hand
You held it tight.
When darkness threatened
You were my light.
All my pain
You drove away,
My heart you made anew.
And now that my problems have gone
I'm glad that I found you.
