I woke myself from a nightmare,
still saw you standing there;
An apparition outlined against the
objects in the room, but real
enough for me to touch;
You outstretched your arm, slightly
turning your wrist upward with
a paleish glow upon your palm
fanning out your fingers;
Like a stubborn autumn leaf, I
tingled and shook afraid to
leave this sefety nook;
You gravitated towards me on
invisible rails your cream colored
veil following close behind;
I woke myself from this nightmare
and saw you laying there...
...until the next time.
