At the entrance under the ivory arch she stood bare feet;
He sat upon the rock under the rose canopy and stared,
Their eyes locked while their souls found its destiny.
Magic filled the air and the garden burst forth with glory;
Budded roses kissed the air and pollen dusted the leaves.
Time stopped as the warm sunshine fell upon her
And his dark brown eyes gazed with sweet melody.
Right before him was all he longed and wondered for -
His love was finally here with the beauty of his deepest faith.
He slowly rose and walked to what seemed to be an angel.
She held her breath and prayed within that it wasn’t a dream;
Her legs began to shake and her eyes refused to move from his.
Slowly and cautiously he drew nearer through the long green sage -
It was him, her entire being screamed, it was him!
But she dared not move afraid her angel may disappear.
He stood right in front of her and slowly brushed a red rose along her
cheek
And Tears of joy ran down his smiling face -
It was her and it wasn’t a dream at all
As the wind drew the garden door to a close and it circled them,
He felt the calm smoothing answer to his prayer,
The one where his heart will no longer beat alone.
She closed her eyes as the tears escaped her dark lashes
And the sandals from her hands fell as she placed them tight around his
shoulders.
Their emotion entangled with their love which whispered words of pure
passion,
Words that they found in the secret garden of their dreams.
And their soul was where it belonged at last, united among the roses and
thorns.
