here i stand...
to sever all ties with pain and greed,
to help distance myself
from the failing world around me.
like a pillar of the earth,
but i will not fall...
i will not fall.
i am Atlas on my knees,
holding the weight of the world
high above me...
high, high above me.
oh, the weight of the world on my shoulders,
but i will not fall...
i will not fall.
i'm the eagle flying high...
oh, flying oh so high.
yet the suns in my eyes,
and down i shall plummet.
like Atlas on his knees,
with the World on his shoulders.
like a pillar of the Earth,
that has a crack through it's life,
but i will not fall...
i will not fall.
and so even still i shall stand,
i shall sever all ties with hate and fear.
the World is my playground...
a rusted, dirty playground,
where my rules, ARE the rules,
but i will not fall...
i will not fall.
