A Place To Hide

Deep down,
Farther than my soul,
If you look hard enough,
You'll find an empty hole.

The whole grows wider,
With every breath I take,
But I suck it up,
And pretend all is great.

Feeling I can't explain-
I know it starts to show,
Eating all the peace I have,
And still it continues to grow.

Your stares turn,
Into cuts on my skin,
I'll never really know,
How life could have been.

With out this pain,
Without this sorrow,
Without being afraid,
To wake up tomorrow.

Hollow and empty,
A sick feeling inside,
All would be better,
If I had a place to hide
