In a warm July sun-weeds at the
Thrashers old farm house made
picturesque and ideal canvas
project for any artist taking the
brush and pallet to the field-
The fields outlined and covered
uneven ground stretching around
some 20 acres including the
dillapidated outbuildings that
barely stood and an old silo
that had toppled over-
This was summer for June-she
was in her first year of art school
and wanted to paint something
and send it home-rather than
the usual letter-
She opted this day to ride her bike
down some old back road, that
other students say they have seen
and locals don't seem to mind
either as the property will
probably never sell, and to be
careful-
June heeded the precautions
taking notes for directions-it was
only a few miles from the dorm
and she took her cell phone-
July is warmer in the town of
Thrash-and the Thrasher place
will probably never sell-but the
students have seen the road there
and the locals don't mind it a
bit-no...the weeds take care of
this place just fine.
