"To my brother on his 26th Birthday"


I can only say “I love you” so many times,
And after a while, it doesn’t say what I feel inside.
You are closer than a brother,
You are my best friend,
You are a shoulder for me to cry on,
And a brace went I can’t stand.

You understand when others don’t,
And you listen when there are those who will provoke.

Another year has passed us by,
And time has left us with another birthday candle to to add to the pie.
More memories for me know,
And more reasons
To thank you for being there,
For being who you are,
For being the brother that no one else knows.

I cry because I’m happy
To have a brother like you,
That with every passing year,
I can only pray that I’m so glad you’re here.

You enjoy this day,
Like all the other twenty-five,
With each smile to make them glow,
And every ounce of love that you won’t deny to show.

Happy Birthday!
An honor to say,
To a best friend,
A candle,
Thats flame
Can never blow away.
