Seems like yesterday when you passed away

All I wanted was one more day

One more day to be with you

You don’t know how much I miss you

I never had a chance to say my final goodbye

Never had a chance to say how much I appreciated you

For every thing that you would do

I’ll never forget the phone call I got the night you died

Rushing up to the hospital to try and say goodbye

Bye the time I got there it was too late

I wish I could have told you to wait

Before that last breath you would take

The day we laid you down to rest

I took one last deep breath

And said to myself

I always knew you were the best
