My Saddest Song

I never saw that car come at me,
the headlights were off so I couldn't see.

As I lay here falling into my eternal sleep, I know that God my soul
he'll keep.

My eyes feel heavy and I can't open them, I feel like a flower with a
broken stem.

I hear the medics say I'm going to die, and a tear falls down my cheek,
for I have to cry.

Because I'm dying here laying on the ground, to never wake or make a
sound.

My blood's all around me and the lights are going out, the pain
inside's making me want to shout.

I know I'm going to die this very night, and that I won't wake
with tomorrow's light.

As I walk through the darkness to either heaven or hell, I was walking up,
but somehow I fell.

Now I have to tell you that I love you Mom, and I'll tell you through
my saddest song.
