Last Reflection of You

You’ve been lying dead so very long,
But what haunts is that you did not stay,
For you are more alive than love itself,
And I still see you plain as day.

Reflection lost in ice cold glass,
In the mirror of my heart,
And all I see is our deceased memory,
Of you staring back at me.

For even when I close my eyes,
Your face still haunts my dreams,
And although you died a long time ago,
My hearts love for you shall continue to teem.

And this memory I see day in and day out,
Shall die with the rest of you too,
Turning the mirror of my heart around to the wall,
I’ll never forget that last reflection of you.
