She was beautiful, with natural blonde hair
Her life was a struggle from here to there.
She dealt with a lot, every day and night
There never was a moment she didn’t have to fight.
She smiled and laughed on the ice skating rink
It was the only place her heart wouldn’t sink.
A lot of her days she felt lost and torn
Most of her days, she wished she weren’t born.
She found comfort in Geof, for he brought her joy
He was there being her best friend—this understanding boy.
When they were together, she never felt alone
With Geof beside her, she was never on her own.
Her heart often ached—it sometimes screamed and cried
She went through hell and back and somehow survived.
Her life wasn’t easy; hard right from the start
But she didn’t break, she was strong in her heart.
She held so much pain deep down inside
She had a strong will that will never die.
She took all the hurt and fought all the tears
She trusted but a few to give all her fears.
God was with her from beginning to end
God gave her strength, with Geof as her good friend.
Her life was difficult—never at all fair
She might have given up if Geof wasn’t there.
Her faith in God helped her soar
She will never feel pain forever more.
No more will she cry no more will she fight
Her dark world is now everlasting light.
You may cry from the distance that keeps you a part
But she’s always with you, staying within your heart.
She is safe now, from harm and evil’s way
She will protect and guide you, every day.
Smile Geof, because she loves you
You’ll be together again in a life so new.
So look at the stars and breathe in the air
She’s always with you…always right there.
In your mind and heart, her flame will burn
Life is hard now but good will take a turn.
One day you’ll meet, and you’ll kiss her again
Only this time it wont be goodbye… it will be
“Hello my friend.”
