Sitting in my room
I shut off all my lights
This is where I hide
And lay awake at night
I know when I've been beaten
By this game that you call life
I exept I've been defeated
Putting down my fight
Darkness has become my home
Where I can run away
Where I'm free to cry
Where I can escape
Turning up my music
Trying to drown everything out
Clear my head
But the memories linger on
Images running like a broken record
That I can't seem to let myself forget
Glistening eyes
With diamond tears of pain
Slowly loosing control
Gradually going insane
Thoughts run through my head
My silent pleads and screams
"Please, just make it stop"
"Why are you doing this to me?"
Curled up in a ball
Squeezing my eyes tight
They soon begin to burn
'Till I have nothing left to cry
My chest is tight
My throat is raw
But...here, I'm safe...
Where darkness falls
