Dazzling Colors

Roughly hewn edges of monstrous doubt.
Overwhelming trepidation of unspoken words.
Please, keep me safe beside you tonight…
The rolling thunder tears open my wounds.

Grab on to the whispers you left in the night,
pray to your God for breathtaking release.
Dazzling colors thrown into your eyes,
blocking all sense of understanding.

Abhor all the love sewn into your heart:
rip it right out and etch your regret.
Flippant excuses from passing by faces.
Loss of your soul to the Devil’s cohorts.
