I touched you once
I know I did
I saw the glimmer in your eyes
Like the fire in the northern most sky
And then you touched me in return
A feeling like cold lightening
Enclosed in silent thunder
And our bodies shook beneath
We were the animals of the wild fleeing danger
Finding comfort in numbers
Wrapped in the twilight dawn
As the world became anew
Just me and you
And we collided in touch
And fell away in splendor
To find ourselves again entwined
In each others branching advances
And narrow retreats
Climbing towards this pennicle
Of Everest
Where you touched me
As we free falled back to Earth
With those eyes
Who saw past the lies
And knew I needed you
