Pulling at this, pulling at my
Beating heart, you’re ripping out my
Broken heart-
Those stars in your eyes
I saw them that night, but it was all just
It was all just one big lie
Those beautiful eyes
Were just a lie-
When you looked at me
I felt the light, the warmth of that light
And when you looked away
When you turned away from me
My world crumbled, my heartbeat stumbled-
Your hands as they touched my own
Touched my face, held my face
And those lips when they
Touched my own, pressed tightly against my own
No greater pleasure had I known
Not since that night
When I saw your eyes-
But what is this now, what is this feeling
That has invaded my thoughts,
Left me reeling
You have gone, gone far away
And you’ve taken my heart with you
Ripped it out and dragged it with you-
You’ve left me here
With a gaping hole in my chest, pain in my chest
And a memory of you, that image of you
Of your eyes, your eyes that night
Of the stars in your eyes on that wonderful night
