Tonight I smile,
Tall and still,
Ready for anything,
Dressed to kill.
Warm blood rushes,
Through a cold vein,
A sweet revenge,
A seed from the pain.
My heart beats fast,
Though steady my head,
The fury's in my eyes,
And the gun's in the shed.
Two steps closer,
My painful cry,
Why her God,
Couldn't I die?
I pick up and shoot,
Now laughter in me,
And I choke on my blood,
As I fall to a knee.
