The Goddess and her Lover

Like a precious jewel, beyond any man's grasp
Stands a goddess so perfect no one can match
With powers of love over one man's heart
The goddess and her lover could never part
Their love grows stronger with every passing day
With love so strong nothing stands in its way
But a test arises to prove the love they hold
A daring act of trust and time they must behold
Only time can tell if these two will last
With no doubts in mind the goddess and her lover know they will pass.

A trickle of water, from a drop of love, in the depths of his soul.
Burning to live the life, that he should, that he yearns for.
From a place unknown, comes the lover lost in his way.
For the goddess he loves, he must say.
I confess my love, my life, my passion for you.
So sure, no doubt, like the sky is blue.
He holds her love, for she is the one to hold.
As his feelings, devotion, his fervor unfolds.
This boundless love could not be broken.
For a lot of their love is much unspoken.
A loss for words, made up in sight
So peacefully they stare at each other, all through the night.
