Mommy’s bathroom at three years old
Lipstick all over, little girls’ gold
She walks in and laughs,
A huge smile on her face
She gives me a big hug
I love her embrace.
Mommy’s closet at ten years old
Tank tops, old dresses, skirts and shoes
Some of them new, some of them used.
She walks in and smiles and plays along
Listening to music, and singing with the song.
Mommy’s wallet at the age of thirteen
Fives, tens, twenties, an amount un-seen
She walks in and laughs
Gives me a mischievous glare
But still gives me something
Like a princess to the heir.
Mommy’s bathroom at fifteen years old
Sneaking out make-up
Even though Ill be told
She walks in and smiles
A slight grin on her face
She gives me a good morning hug
I still love that embrace.
Mommy’s car at seventeen years of age
A night with the girls
An evening rampage
Come home before curfew
How she loves it when I walk in.
I cant help but smile
When I see that beautiful grin.
Mommy’s House at twenty years old
Looking back at pictures,
The young and the old
Mommy walks in, a smile on her face
I miss that look, and still crave that embrace.
Mommy’s beach home at 30 years old
Still as beautiful as ever, she tells me she feels old.
I walk in and laugh, a smile on my face
I hold her forever
She loves my embrace.
When I get back home I come to see
A little girl in my bathroom
Staring right back at me.
