The Road We Are On

What am I missing inside?
I am an observer; I've seen many things die,
Someone's love for another, a friendship, everything ends.
It doesn't matter how you live life 'cause we all end up the
same.

Rise from the ashes and start again, all of this is just waiting to begin.
From the end of the world, to a shooting star,
From a dim lit dawn to a knifes first scar,
No one will remember who we are.

Rat poisons and hairdryers, drowning in the grey,
What difference will it make it I live another day?
Breathe another breath? Take another step? Does it really matter if I stay?

We're made of the dust and to the dust we will return.
History of life abandoned in an ancient tome,
So many answers left unknown, so many things from which we could have
learned.

The road less traveled does not exist, choice and adventure, merely a myth.

So forget everything, die and drift away,
It doesn't matter if I see another day, because it's all the same
anyways.
