Anything in Me

This tale I tell you is not one that is tall
It’s about a girl who thought she was no good at all
She was good at school and never bad
But inside she was always sad
She never got credit for doing well
It made her cry, but never would she tell
She began to do bad to get some attention
But her grades still weren't too bad, so to this they paid no mention

She was ignored and never praised
But with her siblings they were amazed
To this day it still brings her down
“Will I ever be able to please?”
She prays on her knees
“Am I not good enough to see?
I wish my parents could see anything in me”
